RSS

One of the best features of oDaycare is the fact that the system generates many RSS feeds.

RSS is great. It allows your visitors to subscribe to new content on your site in any number of ways. Many people these days combine RSS feeds from various websites to see when things that interest them are updated. By having an RSS feed on your site, you allow users to subscribe to it and whenever you post something new to your front page, the subscribers will see it in their RSS Reader, without even actively visiting your site.

Each oDaycare website has a front page RSS feed that can be found at yoursitename.com/rss.xml.

This feed shows any items that you’ve decided to ‘promote’ to the front page of your site, such as blogs, or news items. oDaycare even allows you to change the settings on this feed, so you can control the number of items that show up, or which ones do, etc. You can change how they appear in the feed, whether they include teaser information etc. The newest browsers will even detect this feed automatically when your visitors show up at your site.

RSS feeds are just one more way to get your information out to your parents, and keep them informed.
